Are you anxious? Have you heard about mindfulness?

Mindfulness is a meditation technique that helps you to live in the present, taking your mind away from worrying thoughts and fears. Because thoughts and feelings are linked, learning how to let them go reduces anxiety. There is also evidence to suggest that mindfulness can help with other issues including pain, raised blood pressure and depression.

Below is a lovely video (created by a northern NHS mental health department, and although aimed at a young audience, it gives a insight into how mindfullness reduces distress caused by worrying thoughts.
